Maker Faire - San Mateo County Fairgrounds - San Mateo, California

From the staff of Make and Craft magazines, Maker Faire is a newfangled fair that brings together science, art, craft and engineering in a fun, energized, and exciting public forum. This family-friendly event showcases the amazing work of all kinds of creative, resourceful folks who like to tinker and love to make things. Anyone embracing the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset is encouraged to attend. The aim is to inspire people of all ages to roll up their sleeves and become Makers. Last year, over 45,000 people attended the Maker Faire.

TooManyGames Expo - Greater Reading Expo Center - Reading, Pennsylvania

TooManyGames caters to gamers of all generations, from Atari to Xbox, where you can meet with other gamers, play games of all types, shop around, and win prizes in a variety of tournaments. The TooManyGames event is being held Sunday, May 4th, 2008 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Some of the upcoming Expo's highlights include a Twin Galaxies Guitar Hero World Record Competition, dozens of classic and modern game tournaments, a TooManyGames Scavenger Hunt, Music DJ'ed by world famous OverClocked Remix, Cosplay Competition, and a Video Game Museum.
