Web Sites for items discussed at the April 2006 ABACUS Meeting

This month's episode: Bob Conner, who runs our FTP server, showed up for his annual appearance at our meetings. Unfortunately, Bob's work schedule is such that he can only attend one or two meetings a year. He mentioned a very strange electronics shopping site named Woot.com, which offers only one item, but a different one every day, which it usually sells at a steep discount. We then somehow went into a discussion of media files, whereupon Roger showed how he set up a network server to hold all his music, which could be accessed by any computer in his house. This led into Roger's main demo of Pinnacle Systems Studio 9 video-editing software.
